Who we are

Marketplace Witnesses runs this website. If you have any question about this policy or about how your information is handled, email us at info@marketplacewitnesses.com.

Joining the community

If you fill in the join form on our homepage, we ask for your name, email address and location. We use these only to contact you about the community and to understand where our members are. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages people visit and how they arrive — so we can improve it. This relies on cookies set by Google.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, analytics cookies stay switched off until you accept them. Everywhere else they are on by default and you can turn them off at any time. Whichever you choose, we remember it in your browser's local storage under mw-consent so we do not have to ask again. That value never leaves your device.

Rejecting analytics does not limit any part of the site — everything works the same either way.

Who else sees your data

Google, as our analytics provider, processes the usage data described above on our behalf. We ask Google to anonymise your IP address. Other than that, we share your information only where we are legally required to.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@marketplacewitnesses.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
